The official Xbox Store and Steam listing show the same $69.99 Standard and $99.99 Premium price points for the US listing. Do not add the $30 Premium Upgrade to a $69.99 Standard purchase automatically: compare its current eligibility and included items with a full Premium purchase first.
What the extra $30 buys in Premium
Premium costs $30 more than Standard. The official edition guide says it includes the base game, up to five days of early access beginning October 1, 2026, the Bravo Squad Signature Weapon Pack, 1,000 Iron, the Emergence Customization Pack, and four additional seasonal customization packs as they are released.
The right question is not whether Premium contains more items—it does—but whether you will use those items. The early-access window and the customization packs are the material differences. If neither matters to you, Standard is the lower-cost ownership choice.
Does Game Pass mean the game is free?
No. The official Gears page says Game Pass Ultimate and PC members can play on day one without a pre-order. That is subscription access, not a permanent standalone license. Keep the subscription cost and your expected play time in mind when comparing it with buying Standard.
Xbox also notes that console online multiplayer requires a Game Pass tier that includes online multiplayer. A player who buys the game may still need the applicable service for console online features; buying the base game does not remove that requirement.
What is in the Collector's Edition?
The Collector's Edition includes Premium Edition content as well as physical items: a 15-inch Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago diorama, replica COG tags, an art print, an in-game photo, a custom SteelBook case, and collector packaging. Xbox Series X buyers receive a physical disc, while Steam buyers receive a digital token.
The official announcement confirms that quantities are limited and availability varies by region and retailer. It does not set one universal US price. Treat a retailer's current listing as the price authority for this edition, and check shipping, taxes, platform, and stock before ordering.
Pre-order benefits are separate from Premium
Pre-ordering any edition—not only Premium—was advertised to include the Exfil Dom character skin and Exfil weapon skin set, plus early access to the Open Beta subject to the stated timing and retailer conditions. Those bonuses should not be the main reason to pay for Premium: the enduring price difference is the Premium content and launch early access.
Quick buying advice
Choose Standard if you want to own the game for the lowest official US price. Choose Premium only if up to five days early access and the included customization content are worth an extra $30 to you. Choose Game Pass Ultimate or PC when you already subscribe and are comfortable with access being tied to the subscription.
